Building and Evolving APIs
The foundation of a modern cloud operating model is focused on self-service, elasticity, and being API-driven. APIs are the doorways to access modern microservices, but is JSON over ReST as far as we need to go? …or should we be diving deeper and asking different questions?
Building and Evolving APIs explores what it looks like to build modern APIs today. While we will explore tradeoffs around GraphQL/ReST and gRPC/JSON, we’ll also look at patterns like backend for the frontend, ask questions around Developer Experience and APIs. We’ll dive into how APIs are architected in ubiquitous platforms like Kubernetes and in massively scaled implementation at places like Netflix.
The Building and Evolving APIs track is all about the best practices around enabling a modern API-Driven cloud operating model.
